CTET Certificate

The CBSE conducts the CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) Exam to find qualified individuals for teaching positions in different government schools. Nationality, age limit, educational qualifications, and other factors define the qualifying criteria. Candidates must meet CTET eligibility standards required to be deemed for the position, and their candidature may be cancelled if they do not.

Among several teaching tests, the CTET Exam is regarded as one of the most difficult. It has an extremely low qualifying rate. So, if you got a decent grade, it indicates you’re one of only a few thousand students with a strong chance of landing a position in a government or private school.

What is the age limit to apply for CTET?

According to CTET’s official announcement and website, a candidate must be at least 17 years old to apply for the exam. This exam has no upper age limit.

What is the use of a CTET certificate?

You can work for the government as a teacher if you pass the CTET exam. After earning your CTET certificate, you could apply for vacancies at CBSE-accredited schools and other institutions. The following are some of the certificates’ most important features:

  • According to the CBSE, the CTET credential is the minimum requirement for teaching in central government schools.
  • You can also enrol in many other teaching jobs after receiving the credential, such as KVS, ERDO, NVS, and so on.
  • In terms of recruiting and experience, many commercial institutes and educational sectors prefer CTET-qualified individuals.
  • You will have a good chance of becoming a government-employed teacher if you pass CTET.
  • As both part-time and regular contracts, schools in the Union Territories only hire candidates already passed the CTET.

 Criteria for qualifying and validity

  • The Eligibility Certificate will be awarded to each candidate who completes the CTET and receives a score of 60% or higher. For Paper-I and Paper-II, the CTET cutoff is 60% of the total.
  • Candidates must obtain qualifying marks on the paper they have chosen to take the test. CTET Paper I is for a teacher in grades I through V (Primary Stage), while CTET Paper 2 is for grades VI through VIII (Elementary Stage).
  • This certificate has lifetime validity after the date of the result’s declaration. There are no limitations on the number of tries or the age of the participants. Qualified students can retake the exam to enhance their results and increase their employment opportunities.
  • Primary teachers, who teach grades I through V, earn roughly Rs 1.5 lakh per annum on average, while secondary teachers earn around Rs 2,30,000 per year on average.

The CTET is an official document that only assists candidates in their application for such a KVS exam. Take practice examinations and evaluate your performance whenever you think you’re ready. There are many previous year papers and mock tests available on the BYJU’S Exam Prep website for you to excel in the exam.
